{"id":4887,"date":"2021-11-05T08:56:27","date_gmt":"2021-11-05T07:56:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ehin.no\/2021\/?post_type=speaker&#038;p=4887"},"modified":"2021-11-05T08:56:27","modified_gmt":"2021-11-05T07:56:27","slug":"austen-davis","status":"publish","type":"speaker","link":"https:\/\/ehin.no\/2021\/speakers\/austen-davis\/","title":{"rendered":"Austen Davis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Austen<\/strong> Davis has worked in the Global Health section of the Norwegian Development Cooperation Agency (Norad) since 2013.\u00a0 Austen is responsible for Norad\u2019s engagement in diverse areas, including: information and accountability, maternal and newborn care, risk factors related to health (e.g. nutrition, water\/sanitation, clean air, clean energy, education) and Universal Health Coverage \u2013 including expanding access to NCD care and Essential medicines for NCDs.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Austen worked for Medecins sans Frontieres in a range of different positions and countries and served as the General Director for MSF Holland between 1999 and 2004.\u00a0 Austen has also worked for UNICEF in Somalia, the Norwegian Refugee Council and as a consultant.<\/p>\n<p>With a background in nutrition (M.SC. Cornell University) and health policy (M.SC.
