Morten Elbæk Petersen
Morten Elbæk Petersen has been Chief Executive Officer of the National Danish e-Health Portal since May 2002. He has worked in the health-care sector throughout his career, and for 25 years held managing positions with a primary focus on planning, quality development, prevention and health-care information technology.
Previously, he was Head of Prevention and Healthcare in the County of Funen and was employed within the administration of Odense University Hospital. Petersen has also held positions within health-care sections of the administrations of 2 counties in Jutland. He holds a Master of Economics and Social Science degree from the University of Odense. Petersen is an external examiner in the fields of health promotion and digital health at universities in Denmark, and a member of several international advisory boards on digital health.
