Katja Grønbæk is an MD (Medical Doctor) and the clinical manager for WARD 24/7. She also serves as a project manager and a PhD student in the WARD project. She is affiliated with the University of Copenhagen in the Capital Region of Denmark.
The WARD project was founded at Rigshospitalet, Bispebjerg Hospital, and DTU and is now continued through a larger public-private collaboration with the startup company WARD 24/7 ApS. The medical specialty development is coordinated from Bispebjerg Hospital and Rigshospitalet. The WARD project is working on defining, developing, and implementing the next generation of wireless monitoring systems for high-risk patients, thereby reducing complications and healthcare costs.
