Andrew Steele is a scientist, writer and campaigner based in Berlin, and the author of Ageless: The New Science of Getting Older Without Getting Old<\/em>. After completing a PhD in physics at the University of Oxford, he decided that ageing was the single most important scientific challenge of our time, and switched fields to computational biology. He worked at the Francis Crick Institute, where he used machine learning to decode DNA and predict heart attacks using patients\u2019 NHS medical records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is now a full-time science writer and presenter. His work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal<\/em>, Sunday Times<\/em>, Telegraph<\/em>, Guardian<\/em>, and WIRED<\/em> magazine. He has featured on NBC\u2019s TODAY<\/em>, Don\u2019t Die<\/em> on Netflix, The Russell Howard Hour<\/em>, Sunday Brunch<\/em>, NBC Morning News Now<\/em>, and BBC News<\/em>. He is also a regular expert on Discovery\u2019s Impossible Engineering<\/em> and Strangest Things<\/em> on Sky. In addition, he produces science videos on his YouTube channel and gives live talks to a wide range of audiences \u2013 from investors and policymakers to students and comedy-loving science fans at venues like the Hammersmith Apollo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
