Leilei heads up clinical data quality, standardisation, and interoperability at UCLH and UCL Biomedical Research Centre (BRC). Trained at the University of Sydney, she continued her postgraduate studies in London, assuming pivotal roles in clinical classifications, casemix designs, business intelligence, terminologies, and EHR system implementations. Leilei led the first SNOMED CT clinical data standards implementation in MEDITECH EHR in the UK more than a decade ago. Her groundbreaking work extends to Epic, where she pioneered native SNOMED-CT standards integration for Diagnosis recording, setting a precedent for future Epic sites. In 2022, her team facilitated UCLH\u2019s adoption of the FHIR standard, enabling seamless data exchange between Epic EHR and sponsors\u2019 Electronic Data Capture systems.
