Shifting the Tide: Designing for Health Ecosystem Transformation
How can we work across silos and organizational mandates to enable much needed transformation within health systems? What does it take to facilitate the adoption and scaling of technology in a way supports human needs and is attentive to human experiences in healthcare? This panel will bring together leaders working at the frontier of health system transformation to debate the role of design in catalyzing systemic, long-term change.
Panelists will offer Scandinavian examples of how design has been used to strategically build common visions and create collective movements across organizational boundaries. Local leaders will also discuss the growing role of design within both public and private healthcare initiatives. This session will explore how design expertise should be positioned in relation to the health system for the biggest impact and how we can move from doing one-off, additive innovations toward catalyzing systemic transformation within our health systems.
Participants of this session will learn different models for how design has been applied in health systems and find out about opportunities for health system transformation through design.
