SNOMED CT in Action

Described as “the most comprehensive clinical terminology in use around the world,” SNOMED CT enables a wide range of benefits for health systems globally through its implementation and adoption.

At EHiN 2025, Licínio Kustra Mano from SNOMED International will share insights into how this powerful clinical terminology is being used today. This session offers EHiN delegates a unique opportunity to learn directly from the not-for-profit organization that owns, manages, and continuously develops SNOMED CT – the world’s leading system for structured clinical information.

In 2020, SNOMED International launched its 2020–2025 Strategy, highlighting the need to revisit its value proposition for key stakeholder groups and to demonstrate the return on investment in SNOMED CT for nations, healthcare systems, and technology vendors worldwide.

This session will explore SNOMED CT from an international perspective and showcase how Sweden and Norway are advancing their work with this essential global standard.
