Empowering the citizen

“Going from Google to AI – patient centered care” In a world with a growing amount of health data and knowledge about diseases, the “citizen” is in a transition from being totally depending on the clinicians medical assessment into a fully empowered partner in it´s own diagnosis and treatment.

In this session, we listen to Karlien Hollanders from Belgium, an experienced patient expert as a family caregiver of a seriously ill daughter. She has 10+ years of experience on how you have to navigate within the healthcare system between doctors, hospitals, GPs, different departmentts and so on. She shares these experiences with a wide audience to help create better patient-centered care.
