Mikael Rinnetmäki boosts the safe and effective use of health data. He leads the VALO2 project, which supports Nordic cooperation in the national implementation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) and in the secondary use of health data. The Nordic countries have much to offer in this area. He is also interested in reimbursement models for digital therapeutics and remote monitoring solutions.
He is a founder of the diabetes startup Sensotrend, participates in the development of interoperability standards for healthcare IT, and advocates for patients’ rights through patient associations.
