Sandra van Rijswijk
Sandra van Rijswijk is the co-founder and board member of the Games for Health Europe Foundation, and co-founder & CEO of Game Solutions Lab, a company dedicated to designing game strategies and producing applied games that improve health and healthcare.
Her mission is simple yet ambitious: making healthcare more effective, engaging, and affordable through the power of play. With a strong belief that everyone deserves access to proper healthcare, Sandra specializes in developing and researching applied games that support behavioral change—an essential factor in many therapies. By making healthy choices more fun and motivating, she helps bridge the gap between medical expertise and daily life.
As a board member of the Games for Health Europe Foundation, Sandra champions global collaboration. She has observed that researchers and innovators across the world often tackle the same challenges in isolation, duplicating efforts instead of accelerating progress together. Her goal is to connect these initiatives, foster knowledge exchange, and build a worldwide community that uses games to solve pressing health challenges – ensuring we don’t just reinvent solutions, but co-create them for greater impact.
