Margunn Aanestad

Margunn Aanestad is Professor of Information Systems at the University of Agder and at the University of Oslo, from which she also acquired her PhD in 2002, and where she worked until 2019. Working with a cross-disciplinary, sociotechnical perspective she has researched digitalization processes in the health sector over the last two decades, including the introduction of EPR systems, ICT-supported inter-organizational collaboration, patient-oriented solutions (including remote, home-based care models) and personalized medicine. A core aim has been to better understand and handle the complexity of the sector’s information infrastructures.
