People centered innovation

This session provides three presentations on innovation close to the citizen. The solutions come from Poland, the Netherlands and Norway.

Advanced VR Technology in ADHD management

v/Anna Lipert and Konrad Socha

Current ADHD management primarily involves medication and traditional therapies, which
may lack engagement and individualization. Although, there is a global trend in VR
technologies implementation into medicine and rehabilitation, the healthcare sector still faces
challenges in adopting new technologies due to infrastructure constraints, regulatory hurdles,
and a lack of tailored VR content for specific health conditions like ADHD what presents a
gap in treatment modalities. Therefore, focusing on breaking geographic barriers in healthcare
accessibility and enhancing patient care through innovative solutions, the goal of the project is
to develop a series of VR scenarios tailored to ADHD management, using CORTEX2’s
advanced VR technology. This includes creating interactive exercises that target attention,
memory, and emotional regulation skills crucial for ADHD patients.

Braive: AI-Enhanced Mental Health Solutions

v/Michell Hansson and Hermine Bonde Jahren

Braive offers a next-generation platform for mental health triage and treatment, combining AI with clinical psychology to deliver impactful, research-backed results. Founded in 2015, our mission is to empower both patients and clinicians. Today, our platform is used by over 1,000 psychologists across Sweden and Norway.

Through extensive research collaborations, we have developed an AI-powered solution that automatically generates case notes— one of the key outcomes of our R&D efforts. This functionality is highly effective, significantly reducing documentation time by 80%, allowing clinicians to focus more on client care rather than administrative tasks. This solution promises an immediate and profound impact on the field, addressing critical challenges highlighted in reports such as NOU’s Time for Action and in broader healthcare discussions.
