Sally Bibb
Sally Bibb is a leader in strengths-based approaches to people practices in organisations. She leads the Strengths Practice for PA Consulting and before that ran a successful boutique strengths consultancy. Sally has worked in healthcare (the National Health Service and also the private sector) for many years. Following the Stafford Inquiry in 2013 The Shelford Group of English University Trusts wanted to understand what kind of people made great Ward Leaders. Sally and her team undertook strengths profiling of exemplar Ward Leaders, Staff Nurses and Health Care Assistants across ten Trusts and introduced strengths-based selection for those roles. Subsequently she has introduced strengths based selection and career development in a number of Trusts across the country. More recently she has led a strengths profiling work across maternity services, part of an initiative to improve safety and patient care. She’s led projects in many other public, private and charity sector organisations in healthcare, energy, humanitarian aid and aviation. Her first degree was a BA (Hons) in psychology, sociology and economics. She has an MSc in organisational change from the University of Surrey. This humanistic approach continues to inform her work and research methodologies. She’s a writer and award-winning author of eight books, the most recent two of which on strengths featured in the WHSmith Top Ten Business Charts.
