How strategies can advance digital health for equity

Equal access to health and care services may depend on digital transformation and may preserve sustainability for health and care delivery.

Building trust between nations and investing in digital health technology are key to the transformation of healthcare across Europe. Hal Wolf addressed this as a keynote speaker at the 72nd Session of WHO Regional Committee for Europe on Sept. 12 in Tel Aviv, Israel. WHO/Europe and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) on has signed a memorandum of understanding, setting a new agenda of transatlantic collaboration in digital health.

HIMSS is opening its global headquarters in Rotterdam, Netherlands. HIMSS also supports the European Union’s initiative to create a European Health Data Space and hosts the Digital Health Advisory Group in Europe.


Italy’s journey of innovation and how the country’s investments and reforms enable a path of digital transition in healthcare

In response to the pandemic crisis, the Next Generation EU Programme made available extensive funding to each country to support the development of digitisation and innovation.

Elena Sini will share how the Italian Plan for Recovery and Resilience addresses this challenge and the role that HIMSS and its own Italian Community are playing in pushing this innovation forward.
