Giske Ursin
Dr. Giske Ursin is Director of the Cancer Registry of Norway, Institute for Population-Based Research (CRN). The CRN is a research institution that hosts the national cancer registry and the national cancer screening programs, as well as a large serum bank (Janus). She also has a position as Professor II at the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences at the University of Oslo, and she is Professor Emerita at the Department of Preventive Medicine, Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Ursin is a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. Her expertise is cancer epidemiology, in particular epidemiology of breast, colorectal and gynecologic cancers. She is also interested in cancer screening, large scale registry data analyses as well as data privacy issues.
